My partner and I bought a beautiful piece of land in Floyd County with the help of Darrell Hylton. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Darrell. My partner and I were new to the land search and buying process, and Darrell went above and beyond to help us. We loved walking the property with Darrell and appreciated his obvious love of the natural world. Darrell is very familiar knowledge of Floyd County and has valuable knowledge to offer. Most importantly, we trusted Darrell. He did not hesitate to point out the downsides to a property, as well as point to a property's assets. We never felt like Darrell was trying to sell us something, rather he wanted to make sure we found something that was a good fit for us. I strongly recommend working with Darrell; you'll be in good hands and likely enjoy the process!
It was a pleasure to work with Darrell Hylton as my realtor when I was looking for property in Floyd County to build a retirement home. I had some very specific requirements that included a water source and topography suitable for building and maintaining a large pond. Darrell worked very hard to find property that matched my needs and he was always willing to take the time to walk properties with me and try to figure out where a pond might be built, as well as to find the best site for a home. Some of the properties we looked at were large tracts and walking them involved going through thick brush, scrambling up steep terrain, jumping creeks, etc. Darrell was "all in" for any of this. I was glad to have an outdoorsman as my realtor and his local knowledge was a real benefit. Once we found the property I wanted to buy, Darrell helped me through the whole process and made it as easy as possible. I would recommend Darrell to anyone looking for an excellent realtor who will work very closely with you to find exactly what you want.
Darrell Hylton helped us pick our forever home. I have done a lot of things by myself up to this point in my life, so when it came to buying a house, I was wary but excited. I mentally prepared myself for a lot of paperwork and confusion. But that never happened. With Darrell helping us, I never felt lost on what to do next. Buying a house was more exciting than it was nerve wracking. He was available at all times and had answers to most of our questions. Whatever he couldn't answer himself, he would have a contact who could help. He was able to recommend reliable key players every step of the way, and provide support and realistic suggestions for every bump in the road. I would suggest you work with Darrell in your search for a home, because he is honest, available, resourceful, and just good at what he does.
